Nitrous Tuning

Post by amazingrandy1 » Fri Jun 29, 2018 11:34 am

Good Morning,

I just purchased a 75-175hp ZEX nitrous system for my 00 Mustang GT. I am looking to run it at 100hp, and possibly 150hp. Are there any recommendations with regards to tuning that I should do to run this much nitrous? The car has CAI, larger upper intake, 4.10 gearing if that helps. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

As far as tuning, the rule of thumb is that you need to drop 2.5* timing for every 50hp of NOS (7.5* for 150hp).
Other than that, you need to make sure AFR is good by making sure fuel supply is good (strong fuel pump, adequate injector size, etc).
