Torque & Horsepower Estimator

Post by PPT » Mon Jul 23, 2007 9:28 pm

According to your main website the Data Recon has a Torque & Horsepower Estimator but I have been unable to locate it. Is it in the software?

In the PIDs, there is one listed as "TORQUE" and it says: "Calculated Torque" as the description. I don't know if I've enabled it or not, though.

I think the horsepower estimator will use the mass air flow and rpm to calculate torque and horsepower.

Calculated torque is more than likely the torque value that the computer is deciding to use to adjust transmission pressures and torque limiting (unless you have TL turned off....)

If you want a quick way to see if you are making improvements in power you can datalog your mass air voltage vs RPM and do a before and after run and see if the voltage is higher.... More air into the engine says better tuning and more power.....

So where is the HP estimator? Is it one of my PIDs?
