Recon Observations

Post by geoffav » Tue Jul 24, 2007 12:19 am

I didn't find a notebook feature.

When I logged a short trip, I didn't see any movement out of Load%, injector duty cycle, or the fuel trims. I also retained a red light for open loop except for this brief moment when the light flashed green. I'll check it out tomorrow if work is slack. :o

For me the ones that don't move on my 2003 Expedition are: Injector Duty Cycle, Fuel PSI, and load.

On my sister's 99 V6 Mustang, load and injector duty cycle are the ones that don't move.

Haven't tried it on my parent's F250 diesel or my dad's work truck (F150).

your truck has a mechanical returnless fuel system so the pressure you are seeing is inferred not actual. Your setup estimates the pressure to get the injectors firing at the right pulsewidth.

So why are these items not moving. I'm really concerned about the load and loop indicator. Observing the reaction on my WB --- it has to be closed loop.

Any ideas??? :?

Got it that explains the loop indicator for sure. Was I right about the load and it's slight wiggle? Is there an easy way to convert it to read in percent which is how you intended I think.

I'm really enjoying playing with this stuff. :)

Yes, as soon as I can test the Load issue, the fix is fast and easy. It will be nothing more than e mail with a new database.

I'll have time to use the triggers some this weekend. I need to spend more time using this stuff because if I put it away for a few days it's like starting over.
